Shelter Cat Chooses A Boy To Adopt Him… Look At Them 12 Years Later!

There’s a saying that goes, “You don’t choose the cat, the cat chooses you.”

That is exactly what happened to a 9-year-old boy who went to the shelter. Jack went with Kristine Simmonds to adopt a cat. The kitten pen was too busy so Jack visited the adult cat pen instead. The pen was also crowded, and when Jack sat down in a chair, he was greeted by a 4-year-old orange cat. The cat jumped on Jack’s lap, purring and smooching.

After 10 minutes with the affectionate kitty, Kristine suggested that they look at the kittens. But after spending time playing with the young kitties, Jack said he wanted the orange adult cat who sat on his lap.

It was like love at first sight between the two. Jack begged Kristine to adopt the orange cat. So they went back to he adult cat pen. But then the orange cat was nowhere to be found.

They searched for him, and then all of a sudden, he was right beside Jack. This cat clearly chose Jack to adopt him, and Jack wanted him at the same time. It was meant to be!

They took the orange cat home and named him Ziggy. And according to Kristine, Ziggy is the sweetest, most well-behaved cat they ever had.

All of that happened 12 years ago. Jack is now 20 and Ziggy is 16, and they are still together! These two are definitely soulmates. What a beautiful story of love and friendship!
