Have you ever envied a cat?
Probably so… But not like this!
Gandalf the globe-trotting kitty has parents that love him so much, they won’t travel without him. And chances are, the Siberian cat has visited more places in his short two-year life than most humans! Originally from South Korea, the tourists are currently in America, state-hopping and enjoying life.
*Sigh*
You may be wondering, “How portable can a cat be on a cross-country road trip?” I’m glad you asked! From the photos, it appears that Gandalf does much of his touring on foot–I mean, paw–which means that his parents can sightsee sans bulky cat-carrier. In a comment exchange on their Instagram page, Gandalf’s parents explain:
mysnafflebit: How did you teach your cat to walk on the leash so well?ganddygram@mysnafflebit: We started him on a leash when he was about 8 weeks and have been taking him every where with us since then! He knows when we put on his harness he gets to go out for an adventure 🙂
The account @ganddygram chronicles the cat’s travels across nine US states, many to famous landmarks that we humans haven’t gotten a chance to see up close yet. It may be on our bucket list, but until then, we can live vicariously through this feline’s photos. Here are some stunning snaps, scenic enough to be on a “Wish You Were Here” postcard:
Here’s Gandalf admiring the views of the Grand Canyon…
And soaking up some history in El Dorado.
He blends right in with the glitz and glamor of Hollywood…
And struts his stuff on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ganddy bundles up while visiting the Sierra Nevada Mountains…
And poses like a pro in front of the Golden Gate Bridge.
He journeyed to the coast of Texas…
And went to see the state capital!
But no matter where his travels take him, one thing’s for sure…
He will always be prepared with his “Pawssport” in paw!
