Meet Cassidy; born to a feral cat about four months ago. His rescuers believe that he lost his back legs soon after his birth but managed to survive for nine weeks in the forest! Cassidy was found by the owner of the property where Cassidy and the other cats lived. He quickly got in touch with Shelly Roche of TinyKittens.com. Cassidy and his surviving litter mate Topper, were caught and brought to Tiny Kittens headquarters where Roche and her group of rescuers cared for Cassidy and Topper to good health once again.
Thanks to Andrew Phillips, owner of Handicapped Pets Canada, who made and donated Cassidy’s wheelchair, the darling little kitty finally took his first steps using the wheelchair unassisted!!! Now, Cassidy will be helping Shelly Roche with “promoting spay/neuter programs to reduce cat overpopulation, and demonstrating responsible pet ownership,” among other things.
With all the health issues plus the struggles of being a disabled cat, you can tell how determined Cassidy is to live life to the fullest despite his disability. Share this inspiring video to give hope to others and to remind them that no matter how broken up they are, they should never lose hope and always remember that they are worthy; they are worth saving so NEVER give up!
