Animal Aid Unlimited sprang into action to rescue an elderly dog trapped in a drain after receiving a distressing call about his situation.
The aged canine had collapsed in the sewer drain, desperately seeking some form of relief from his unbearable pain. To make matters worse, his massive wound was infested with maggots.
The poor dog was almost toothless, suffering from arthritis, and had a substantial gash on his back.
Realizing his agony and frail state, the rescuers gently extracted the helpless dog from the drain and transported him to the veterinary clinic for immediate care.
At the clinic, they administered painkillers and an IV treatment to address the maggot infestation and alleviate his suffering.
The rescuers were relieved to see that, within a few weeks, the dog was eating well and his wound had healed remarkably.
Without their timely intervention, the elderly dog wouldn’t have had much time left to live.
Now, the transformed dog goes by the name Shabaash, and his heartwarming story is one that deserves to be shared with the world.
