She had taken up residence on the top floor of a derelict home and peered warily down at Stray Rescue of St. Louis when they approached.
Braving the wreckage, Donna, the rescuer, entered the home. It was not for the faint of heart, with its broken walls and windows, and shoddy stairs, but Donna went in anyway to save the dog.
The dog, who they named โGenerosityโ, was so scared. She was huddling by an old chair and she could survey the surroundings below. Donna could tell she was terrified.
โAre you ready to go โbye byeโ?โ Donna asks.
Generosity reluctantly agrees, but is unsure of going down the stairs, unsure of where they are taking her.
She doesnโt want to leave the shelter and safety of her perch.
After some mild protest, she settles down in the car, but she is still uncertain of what these humansโ intentions are.
Donna reassures Generosity and promises her it will all be okay and we know that it willโฆ
โฆAnd Donna delivered on her promise. Generosity is now cosy and has moved into the office of the CFO for some quality one on one time. And as you can see in the photo below, her eyes are no longer wary or unsure, but friendly and curious. Itโs wonderful to see.
โGenerosity moved into our CFOโS office. Sheโs very shy so will enjoy the one on one time sheโll get with Weng. Look at all those blankets. Getting spoiled already.โ Photo: Stray Rescue of St. Louis
