Rescuers Discσver An Abusive Dσg Left in the Garbage, His Head Barely Able tσ Mσve.

Charlie, the Pit Bull, would have perished if not for the Good Samaritan who rescued him from the landfill.

Charlie was spotted lying in the trash near a receptacle by Nikki Rubino. He had head wounds, was covered in grime, and was bitten by insects.

Nikki’s name was mentioned in a Facebook post about a dog that had been abandoned in the garbage near a recreational area. Nikki, who had worked as a veterinary technician for many years, could tell by merely glancing at him that he was dying.

When she first approached Charlie to untie the rope that bound him to a pole, he remained motionless and did not react. After all he had been through, it was incredible that he could even elevate his head.

Nikki and a friend were able to load him into the car, and they rushed him to the Philadelphia Animal Hospital, where his condition has been characterized as “precarious” ever since. Nonetheless, a significant number of individuals are rallying to help the now 2-year-old Pitbull recover.

The Philadelphia Animal Hospital posted a message on their Facebook page that read, “The image below is difficult to view but exceedingly important.”

The animal facility stated, “We are aware that this is not an isolated incident, and it is a tragedy when innocent animals are treated in such a way,” indicating that they are aware that this is not an isolated occurrence. Charlie is a very good-natured dog who is currently in excellent health. The veterinarians are “doing everything possible” to ensure his recovery.

The Humane Law Enforcement Unit of the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is conducting an investigation to determine who injured Charlie.

According to the PSPCA, Charlie does have a microchip, which was implanted by the organization as part of the front clinic and vaccination clinic services they offer. Charlie appears to have been used as bait in canine fights based on his injuries.

The Philadelphia Animal Hospital has requested that any additional contributions for Charlie be sent to the City of Elderly Love: Save a Senior Companion organization instead.

On their Facebook page, City of Elderly Love stated, “While not our typical rescue, Charlie was delivered to the ideal location by his wonderful finders.” Although not our usual rescue, “Because we are the only rescue partner of the Philadelphia Animal Hospital, we will be responsible for his post-recovery care.

The Philadelphia Animal Hospital will provide free care and treatment for him. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the extraordinary Philadelphia Humane Law Enforcement team will be able to bring Charlie’s tormentors to justice.

A few days have passed since Charlie was rescued on October 26, 2017, and there are encouraging signs that he is recovering. Despite the fact that the doctors are still concerned that Charlie will contract sepsis as a result of his incisions, there are encouraging signs that he is recovering. Three days after his rescue, on October 29, he is “happy galloping around” the facility where he is being treated.

According to the rescue organization, Charlie has already endured the most difficult portion of this ordeal. They stated, “There is no set schedule for his rehabilitation, and we will have to approach it day by day.” Tomorrow, the procedure to remove additional necrotic tissue from his face is scheduled to take place. Although he will require multiple surgeries to accomplish a full recovery, he is currently more comfortable than he has been in a very long time.

As he recovers from his ordeal, his saviors are ensuring that he receives ample rest and affection.

The veterinary hospital added, “He will undergo surgery tomorrow to remove most of the dead tissue from his snout and muzzle.” Although this will be the first of a series of operations he will require, it is a step in the correct direction. He is consuming well and is significantly more comfortable than he was previously!

It is a boon that compassionate people like Nikki, as well as rescuers and doctors, are attempting to save Charlie’s life and ensure his bright future.
