Hope For Paws received a call about a kitten who was heard deep down in a storm drain. Eldad was joined by JoAnn Wiltz for the rescue, and down below the street they went. Without help, this tiny kitten wouldn’t survive here for long.
They secured the ends of the long pipe, but the kitten wouldn’t come to anyone. So Eldad would have to assemble a long pole to try and push the kitty toward JoAnn. The kitten started moving closer but wouldn’t exit the pipe, so JoAnn had to quickly grab him — and it worked!
They named him Splinter and continued back to the hospital where they set him up with a nice bed, good food, clean water, and toys! Splinter is currently being fostered by Room 8 Cats while looking for that forever home. 🙂
