Hope For Paws received a call about an abandoned dog lying on a pile of trash near an industrial area. It was right beside the road, and when rescuers showed up, the dog refused to move. This made them fear something was terribly wrong.
So Eldad used a cheeseburger to see if he could get the dog to try to stand. He secured Chico with the Lucky Leash first, and then encouraged the dog to get up. Chico seemed to be okay, but he was afraid to leave the spot where he felt somewhat safe and secure in this world.
When Eldad realized the good boy was just too scared, he picked him up and carried him to the car. Chico didn’t have a microchip and was taken back to their facility to get cleaned up. After receiving the necessary medical care, Doggie Bonez was able to find him an amazing forever home. 🙂
