Dogs were the first creatures domesticated by humans more than 30,000 years ago, according to archaeological findings (that’s more than 10,000 years before the domestication of horses and ruminants). And they are irreplaceable.
They protect us, help us, and keep us company. But, most importantly, they make us laugh.
Dogs sure love to goof around. Just take a look at this adorable dog.
Imogene is a bloodhound with an unquenchable thirst for life. When Imogene’s mom tries to photograph her dog’s wide, cheerful face, things rarely go as planned.
“She is a goofy critter with a big bark and an even bigger heart,” Lisa Vaughan, Imogene’s mom, says. “She hardly ever meets a stranger and loves to give ‘hound hugs,’ as we call them.”
Imogene is sweet and loving, but the moment her mother takes out her camera, everything changes. “Our photoshoots are just fun,” Vaughan said.
“They’re usually treat motivated, and she gets a bit squirrelly and starts running around.” Imogene will let her mother dress her up, but she refuses to pose for photos.
Her mother often has to film her because she moves around so much. “The best way to get the perfect photo is to video her in slow motion and then check frame by frame,” Vaughan said.
This cute pooch is bound to make your day way better. Take a look at photos from Imogen’s hilarious photoshoots:
Imogene is a bloodhound that adores life and play.
Imogene, on the other hand, does her best to pose, even if every stance makes her look like she’s about to sneeze.
“She is a goofy critter with a big bark and an even bigger heart,” Imogene’s mom, says.
Imogene’s mom has often compared Imogene’s floppy ears and droopy face to a Picasso painting in her attempts at the perfect pup image on social media.
“Photoshoot goofs are usually treat motivated, and she gets a bit squirrelly and starts running around”
“The best way to get the perfect photo is to video her in slow motion and then check frame by frame”
Vaughan simply wants to spread a bit of Imogene’s happiness around the world, sharing a little of the love she receives on a daily basis. And she understands that, in the end, Imogene is perfect just the way she is.
“The goofiest, happiest, most huggable hound that I’ve ever met,” Imogen’s mom says.
There are many wonderful things in the world, but nothing quite compares to a fluffy animal with a boopable nose. They brighten our days and bring a smile to our faces.
Our world would be a much sadder place if there were no lovely creatures… It’s difficult to think about that without being depressed.
