Hope For Paws received a late night call about a dog abandoned at the port. By the time they arrived, a man named Al Ritch had managed to secure the dog with a leash in an enclosed area. The poor girl had no idea where she was or what was going on.

The senior dog accepted the cheeseburger offered by Loreta, and she seemed to be very friendly and cooperative despite everything that had happened. Rescuers wanted to make sure to spend some more time with her to gain her trust before putting her in the crate.

The Lucky Leash was then placed around Oolu’s neck, and she was off to get a nice warm bath. The sweet girl was treated for skin infections, and Lionel’s Legacy offered to help find her a forever home. And it wasn’t long before exactly that happened! 🙂

Oolu is now in a loving home where she’ll never have to worry about being abandoned again.
