A tiny kitten with a big personality was so happy when he found the family of his dreams, just in time for the holidays.
A few weeks ago, Tram Bui, co-founder of Mini Cat Town (a rescue based in San Jose, California) was at a local shelter, when she came across a kitten begging for attention. The little guy had been brought in as a stray and was in need of rescue and foster care.
The kitten was jumping around in his crate, pushing his face against the door as Tram walked up to him. “He truly made his case and decided he wanted to join us at Mini Cat Town. So we packed him up and took him home,” Thoa Bui, co-founder of Mini Cat Town, shared with Love Meow.
The tiny ball of fur was six weeks old and just skin and bones. He was mostly fluff but came with a big personality.
As soon as they uncovered the cardboard carrier, the kitten started meowing at the top of his lungs and crawled up to the side of the box, eagerly seeking affection.
Tram gave him some much-needed ear scritches, and the kitten instantly calmed down and leaned against her hand for some extra intense snuggles
We decided to call him Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol. We spent the next few weeks making sure he put on some weight with a high calorie nutrition plan.
The kitten put on a lot of healthy weight and gained in strength. When he discovered his new-found energy, he immediately put it to good use.
The tiny bear kitten became a busy body, running around the house, climbing anything he could lay his paws on and creating all sorts of antics.
He was excited to inspect the Christmas Tree and insisted on getting up to higher grounds even though he needed assistance to get back down every time
He did that multiple times a day and yelled for help,” Thoa added.
Watch the kitten in this cute video:
The kitten seemed to never stop playing during his waking hours. He quickly befriended a few furry residents in the house and was determined to win over Misty the cat who wasn’t so sure about this fluffy ball of energy.
The fearless kitten snuggled right up to Finny the Husky and tried to mimic the sweet canine.
The kitten has grown by leaps and bounds over the last few weeks and is no longer that tiny feline baby they once knew. He continues to cry for attention and chase and pounce on anything that moves.
Last week, they welcomed the little panther kitty (now renamed T’Challa) into their loving home. They even bought a baby stocking with his initial, just in time for Christmas.
T’Challa is loving his new life as a spoiled teenage cat. He gets up at six o’clock in the morning and runs around the house with his endless supply of energy.
When he needs to recharge, he snuggles up to his favorite blanket and kneads away in bliss.
“He completes our family. He’s got some ninja skills,” Erica, T’Challa’s mom, shared. “His big sister Bailey has been so patient and caring to this little cute chaotic ninja.”
