The team immediately called Best Friends Felines, a rescue organisation with whom they collaborate; their new job was to provide all of the care for the new mom.
The kitten moved from being on the streets to having a home and a comfortable atmosphere, where she could finally enjoy good food and all the TLC that her rescuers could provide. A volunteer said in this regard:
“She is such an interesting and beautiful cat.” I’ve been raising cats for more than 15 years and have never seen a calico with blue eyes like hers. It’s incredible.”
Amity, the lovely cat, wanted to relax and rest from the time she succumbed to the arms of her guardians, and finally she could.
“I made an effort to spend as much time as possible with her each day.” She enjoyed getting her stomach rubbed.”
Amity went into labor within days of her rescue, insisting on having her caretaker around to assist her bathe the infants.
They believed it was over after giving birth to five kittens, but an hour later they were surprised to find a sixth baby. Because the cat was uninterested in cleaning it up, her guardian did.
However, the foster mother discovered that there were more babies than she had anticipated. In this regard, she said:
“I performed a double-take and counted seven babies; when I learned there were seven babies, I cleaned her off, and she immediately latched on and began nursing.”
Amity spent the next several days happily tending to her brood of seven kittens, caring for and feeding them throughout the day. Her appetite had abruptly reduced, and she had some gastrointestinal issues that needed to be addressed right away.
Fortunately, Georgina, a veterinarian and newborn carer, arrived to provide him with all the assistance he required.
