Weโve seen stories of dogs stepping up to protect their owners or alert them of danger. Now, one woman is calling her dog a hero after he helped save her babyโs life, alerting the parents in time after the child sแดแดแดแดแดแด breathing.
Kelly Andrew, from Boston, Massachusetts, is the owner of a Boston terrier named Henry. Recently, the dog started acting up in the middle of the night, and kept breaking into their nursery and waking Kellyโs baby.
Kelly Andrew said that she was โfed upโ with her dog disturbing her sick daughter. โLast night the dog kept breaking into the nursery and waking the baby. Sheโs been sick, and I was getting so fed up with him,โ Andrew wrote.
She was very upset with the dogโs behavior. However, she soon realised the dog was acting weird on a hunch, and realised that the infant had sแดแดแดแดแดแด breathing.
Thanks to the canineโs alertness, the parent could quickly rush the child to Connecticut Childrenโs hospital in Hartford to get emergency treatment.
โWe spent the night in the hospital. I donโt know what would have happened if he hadnโt woken her. We donโt deserve dogs,โ the grateful mother added while sharing the story.
Kelly first thought her baby was suffering from a head cold but in turned out she was struggling to clear her airway.
She turned blue and went rigid as she was unable to get any oxygen. Hours after the ordeal, the baby was released from hospital to recover at home.
Her husband told that the dog โdefinitely had a steak comingโ and that they would treat him like he is โking of the castleโ.
