Homeless Dog Finds Warmth With Baby Jesus In A Nativity Scene
Regardless of where you go, chances are you will find stray dogs. according to recent statistics by the ASPCA, there are about 4 million stray dogs in the US alone, the stray dog population has grown to the breaking point. But have you ever thought to yourself, where do these animals sleep at night, especially when it is cold? One puppy in Brazil found a unique solution to that problem.
As the weather turns cold towards the end of the year, feral dogs will seek some warm shelter wherever they can find them. Some businesses have opened their doors at night so that homeless dogs on the street have a warmer place to sleep. But not all dogs can find such places, many dogs that cannot find a warm place to hide will be at risk of ꜰʀᴇᴇᴢɪɴɢ to ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.
Luckily that’s not the case for the German Shepard. This poor dog was found curled up with baby Jesus in a manger. The incident happened in the city of Santa Catarina, Brazil when several women visited their local Christmas spot. They noticed a puppy lying next to the form of Jesus, the dog seemed to find comfort and warmth in lying there.
After the discovery, more people came, they gathered around the dog. He seemed surprised when all the people around him looked at him, but he didn’t move from his position. It is believed that someone in the crowd decided to adopt the poor dog and help take care of it so that it does not have to wander around in the cold weather anymore. Hopefully the dog will live in a happy place he can consider home and a family that loves him.
