While on his way to work, Graham Dobson discovered a frightened and lonely dog chained to a lamppost at the side of the road.
He gave the dog food and waited to see if the owner would return, but unfortunately, they did not come back even hours later.
Dobson contacted the dog warden to rescue the abandoned dog.
The dog was waiting for his family to come back, but deep down, he knew he was abandoned and did not understand why. Dobson hopes that someone will give him the love and care he deserves.
Dobson expressed his heartbreak over the situation and his love for animals, stating that he does not want to see them abandoned or mistreated. The boxer, now named Max, is being cared for by the Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Boxer Rescue organization, who are searching for a suitable home for him.
The organization posted an update stating that Max is doing well and is staying with a knowledgeable foster family who will help assess his needs. There has been a lot of interest in adopting Max, but the focus is on his care and well-being at the moment.
Max is receiving lots of love and will soon find his forever home, and everyone hopes he will never be neglected or mistreated again.
