In some parts of the world, it is common for dog meat to be consumed by humans.

That is the case in some parts of China, but there are also people who want to do their part and make sure that it doesn’t continue.

This includes the volunteers at Slaughterhouse Survivors.

Recently, they were able to save one dog named Pearl. She was a French bulldog that was slated to be killed but they found her on the meat truck and saved her life. Perhaps to make the story even more interesting was the fact that Pearl is missing a leg.

When they first found Pearl, she was in really bad shape. The people who rescued her didn’t even think that she would survive but with a little TLC, she was on the road to recovery. That was when they had to fly her to California so she could begin living life in a much better way.

According to The Dodo, after Leah, her foster mother with California Road Dogs, got in touch with Pearl, she realized that she was an awesome dog. Not only was she easy to deal with, but she handled being around the rest of the pack at Leah’s house very well.

At first, Pearl had difficulty getting around and she was noticeably uncomfortable. She still wanted to give it her best, and now that she was in a foster home with lots of love she had the support she needed to thrive.

Fortunately, Pearl didn’t have to wait long for a forever home. A veterinarian saw a photo of the dog and realized that they were meant to be together.
