Hope For Paws was alerted about three Chihuahuas who were abandoned on the streets to fend for themselves. During their struggle to survive, they were shot at with a BB gun. Two of the dogs were hit. They were taking refuge in a fast food parking lot when rescuers arrived.
It’s always difficult to rescue three dogs at once, but Eldad was able to do just that. The woman who’d been feeding them for weeks showed up and told their story. Eldad promised the dogs would be safe with him.
Penny, Brooklyn, and Marty were taken to Hope For Paws and cleaned up. Sadly, four days after the rescue Penny died from heart failure. But there’s comfort in the fact that she knew love and happiness in her last days.
Brooklyn and Marty continued on to their foster home with Wags and Walks before eventually getting a loving forever home together. If you’d like to help Hope For Paws continue to make heartwarming rescues like this, you can donate here.
